This fictional tutorial exists only to test the Hoodchain.info Guides section. The network name, RPC values, explorer address, and configuration details below are placeholders and must not be used for a real wallet connection.

Prototype warning. Never add a network using values copied from an unverified article, message, advertisement, or support account. Confirm all settings with current primary documentation.

Before you start

Use a compatible self-custody wallet, update it through its official distribution channel, and close unrelated tabs. This sample intentionally avoids publishing real network values because its purpose is to validate layout and rendering rather than provide operational instructions.

Requirements

  • A compatible wallet installed from an official source.
  • Access to current Robinhood Chain network documentation.
  • A small amount of ETH only after the network configuration has been independently verified.

Step 1: Open the wallet network settings

1

Locate the custom network menu

Open the wallet’s network selector and choose the option for adding a custom network. Menu names vary by wallet and version.

Step 2: Verify every network value

2

Compare against primary documentation

Verify the network name, chain ID, RPC URL, currency symbol, and block explorer separately. Do not assume a familiar logo or domain proves authenticity.

Do not use these prototype values. Example RPC: https://prototype.invalid. Example chain ID: 0000. They are deliberately invalid.

Step 3: Save and inspect the result

3

Confirm the selected network

After saving, inspect the network label and open the explorer independently. A successful save only proves that the wallet accepted the fields; it does not prove that the network is legitimate.

Step 4: Test with a small amount

4

Limit first-transaction risk

Once real values have been verified, use a small test amount before transferring more funds. Confirm the destination, network, token, fee, and resulting transaction on a trusted explorer.

Common problems

The wallet rejects the RPC

The endpoint may be unavailable, mistyped, blocked, or incompatible with the wallet. Recheck the official source rather than searching for a random replacement.

The network saves but shows no balance

The address may have no funds on that network, the RPC may be delayed, or the selected account may be different. Verify through an independent explorer.

A website asks for a seed phrase

Stop immediately. Legitimate network configuration never requires sharing a seed phrase or private key.

Verification checklist

  • Network values came from current primary documentation.
  • The domain and certificate were checked manually.
  • No seed phrase, private key, or remote-access request was involved.
  • The first transaction uses a limited test amount.
  • The transaction can be independently inspected.

After this section is approved, the prototype can be replaced with a real guide using verified Robinhood Chain settings without changing the renderer architecture.
